Terms & Conditions

By using Geek Mails you agree to what follows. It is short, and it is honest about what this service is: a free, temporary mailbox with no guarantees attached.

What this service is

Geek Mails gives you a temporary email address that receives mail. It is operated by Sahil Ahmed. There is no account, no password, and no charge.

The service receives mail only. You cannot send, reply to, or forward mail from an address issued here.

An address is not yours in any lasting sense. It is bound to a cookie in one browser. Clear that cookie, switch browsers, or use a private window, and the address is gone from your side.

What it is not for

Mail you receive here is stored in readable form and can be read by the service's operators, as described in the Privacy Policy. Accordingly:

  • Do not use this address for anything that matters. No banking, payment, government identity, tax, medical, insurance, or employment mail.
  • Do not use it as a recovery address for any account you care about, or as a second factor for anything.
  • Do not use it to receive confidential material belonging to someone else, or anything you are under an obligation to protect.

If you ignore this and lose access to an account, or private mail is exposed, that outcome is yours.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to break the law, to defraud anyone, or to harass, threaten, or impersonate a person.
  • Use it to evade a ban, a suspension, or a paid signup limit on another service in breach of that service's terms.
  • Create addresses automatically or in bulk, or work around the rate limits that protect the service.
  • Attempt to read mail belonging to another visitor, or to access any part of the system you were not given.
  • Probe, scan, overload, or otherwise interfere with the service or the infrastructure behind it.

Note that a number of sites deliberately refuse addresses from services like this one. Working around such a block is between you and them; it is not something this service supports.

Availability, and the absence of promises

The service is provided as is and as available, with no warranty of any kind. In particular, nothing here promises that:

  • the service will be running when you need it;
  • mail sent to your address will arrive, arrive intact, or arrive on time;
  • your address or its mail will still exist tomorrow;
  • mail will not be lost, deleted, or exposed.

Addresses and messages may be deleted at any time, without notice and without a way to recover them. Keep your own copy of anything you need.

Suspension

Access may be withdrawn and addresses deleted at any time, for any reason, without notice — in particular where the service is being used in a way this page prohibits.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Sahil Ahmed is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this service — including lost or exposed mail, lost access to an account you registered with an address from here, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case those exclusions do not apply to you.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
